Exciting News!

I'm excited to announce that the Board of the Arizona Child Care Association has voted to change our name to the Arizona Early Childhood Education Association.  This new name better represents the important work that all of you do for Arizona's Children and families and communicates the importance of ECE in the education continuum.  Please take note of our new logo, and keep an eye out for our new website which will go live in the next few weeks.

Best,

Erin

Legislative Update-DES Rate Proposal

The Arizona Early Childhood Education Association is working closely with Representative Tony Rivero on HB2288.  Mr. Rivero is sponsoring this bill which requires DES to pay a quality reimbursement rate for children 0-5 years of age who are attending quality programs; this includes centers who are Nationally Accredited, Quality First 3-5 Star, or a Head Start Grantee.  Please click here to see our fact sheet for more information!

You're Invited to Early Childhood Day at the Capitol

Come hang out on the lawn and network with friends and legislators, as we show how early childhood development and health contribute to healthy children, third grade literacy, enhanced economic development and strong communities! Thanks to the sponsorship of the Arizona Early Childhood Alliance (AZECA).

When:  Monday,  February 13, 2017
9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Where: Arizona State Capitol House Lawn
1700 W. Washington St. Phoenix, 85007

This is a vital opportunity to show policymakers how early childhood links to their priorities and the impact early childhood investments have made in communities all across our beautiful state.  If you like, you can also visit with your legislators and view a House or Senate committee in action.
When you get there, be sure to stop by the information desk on the House lawn for a schedule of events and information you can share with legislators and staff.

 RSVP here
with your name, address, organization and whether you would be interested in meeting with a policymaker from your district.
