Fall into a leisurely read

It’s the busy season. Slow things down with one of these relaxed reads.

I feel the need to read

What will you read, watch or do this month?

This year’s last Bricks & Beers at Fifth Ward Brewing Company is Wed., Nov. 9 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Stop in for a few laughs and a chance to snag a few gift cards.

Did you know that a Seattle-area school board recently voted to remove Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird from a list of required reading for ninth graders? We’ll be chatting about this popular and controversial book on Tues., Nov. 15 at 5 p.m. a Planet Perk. We’d love for you to join us in a safe and welcoming place for challenging discussions.

We hope to see you soon!

This year’s entries were a breath of fresh scare! Thank you to all our teen authors for sharing their fang-tastic stories.

Winners in two age categories received Amazon Gift Cards.

The carnival of creativity continued in the library’s Children’s Department last month. Kids and families brought in some crafty creatures that were simply eerie-sistible. Thank you to everyone for their ghoul work!
