Wine of the Week!

Lieu Dit Melon

Gimme some oysters! I want them; I need them. And when I do get them, gimme some Lieu Dit Melon! Melon de Bourgogne is the white grape of France’s Muscadet Appellation. It’s an elegant grape offering mineral driven sprightliness and vividly clean fruit. Just perfect for oysters and uber fresh fish. What could be better? The Bien Nacido Vineyard (where the low intervention grapes were grown) is only 20 miles from the Pacific Ocean. That proximity allows cool ocean breezes’ influence over the vineyard and allows the grapes their acidic backbone. Along with that acidity is a soft vein of salinity that adds majestic ease to the fruit. It’s soooo good. -Greg

Questions of Our Time

Last Week's Results: Poor, sad, sorrowful Sugar and Peanut Butter Cookies. Not one vote for either. Yet so many votes for Snickerdoodles. (You know they’re not made with Snickers and are basically Cinnamon Sugar Cookies with Cream of Tartar. But I digress and Alex says I'm wrong.) People love those Snickerdoodles. And of course Cookie Monster received votes; how could he not?

  1. Snickerdoodles 45.5%
  2. Chocolate Chip 27.3%
  3. Cookie Monster 9.1%
  4. Oatmeal Raisin 9.1%
  5. Thin Mints 9.1%
  6. Peanut Butter 0.0%
  7. Sugar Cookie 0.0%
