Good Afternoon Friends,
Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone is doing well.
We are drinking all things Caymus this weekend for our wine tasting. Take a look below at the wines coming to us from the Caymus winery. They make more than just their awesome Cabernet...We will be tasting that too! Stop by this Friday or Saturday, we'd love to see you.
Keep next Thursday open, August 22 from 5-7PM. With the kids going back to school and the weather cooling off (a bit) we are going to make use of our patio by welcoming in Suntide Mimosas. These are authentic canned mimosas ready to drink with a bunch of great flavors and zero sugars added, gluten-free and 5.5% ABV. They have a cool pop up trailer that we're going to back right up to the store patio. Just pretend your at the beach and come try one of the great new flavors they will taste us on.
I've still got a couple cases of Frank Family Chardonnay left at this great price. $29.95/btl on a case. Regularly $39.95/btl

We are featuring the following wines this Friday and Saturday from 5-8PM...
Emmolo Sauvignon Blanc
Guided by the idea that “less is more,” this wine is dry and fresh, with crisp fruit flavors and bright minerality. Some of the grapes come from family vineyards in Napa Valley, with the majority coming from Suisun Valley, a “hidden gem” wine region only a short drive from Napa. Suisun shares a similar maritime climate and produces exceptional fruit. Their farming practices enable them to create a wine that is not overly ripe – while also not herbaceous – featuring low alcohol and bright acidity.
Caymus-Suisun "The Walking Fool" Red Blend
This new red wine blend is produced from Suisun Valley, a remarkable AVA that has become the Wagner family’s second home. A 30-minute drive from Napa, Suisun has ideal soils and climate for a variety of grapes. The Walking Fool is named after a long-ago relative who was often seen traveling by foot – thus earning this affectionate moniker. Featuring Zinfandel and Petite Sirah, this wine is smooth and lively, with juicy raspberry, notes of espresso and softly fine tannins.
Emmolo Merlot
This wine is sourced from vineyards in Napa Valley, including land that has been in the family of Jenny Wagner’s maternal relatives (the Emmolos) for generations. They seek out areas with light gravelly soil and ideal growing conditions that enable longer “hang time” for the grapes to achieve full ripeness. They also utilize techniques like crop thinning to produce an elegant, distinctive Merlot. This wine has expansive, dark berry flavors, a fresh earthiness and smooth, leathery tannins.
Bonanza Cabernet Sauvignon
Bonanza is a California Cabernet Sauvignon that speaks to the simple pleasures of day-to-day life. Created by Chuck Wagner of Caymus Vineyards, this wine is delicious, accessible and enjoyable over a meal. It’s made from the “bonanza” of our great state – vineyard sites that hold potential to produce good Cabernet but are often overlooked. Features flavors of luscious fruit, dark chocolate and silky tannins.
Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon
This Cabernet in Napa Valley results from happy soils, healthy vines, low crop yield, low to no irrigation, and harvest at high ripeness levels – all key ingredients of the Caymus style. The wine is rich and round on the palate, with textural tannins that are non-bitter. Evidence of French oak, but not overplayed. Acidity for balance, but not tart. There are no hurdles to enjoying the delicious essence of this wine, which exhibits an expression of the style for which Caymus is known.
Cheers,
Jeremy
