Children who move three or more times by age 7 are more
likely to face depression and other major health issues.
This is why the Right to Remain is so important.
Dear Friend,
With your help, ACE has spent 2016 working to make sure that more Roxbury families can stay in their homes. Our members and staff have worked with our partners, the City Council, and the Mayor to make it harder to be unfairly
evicted
in the City of Boston.
In January, the crucial
Just Cause Eviction
legislation,
now called the Jim Brooks Stabilization Act,
comes before the City Council, and afterwards to a State House vote. ACE will be there all the way, working to ensure that the neighborhood of Roxbury remains affordable to those who who have worked so hard to fight pollution and make it a cleaner, safer neighborhood.
Children who are displaced are more likely to suffer from adverse health later in life, more likely to smoke, and more likely to suffer depression and even suicide. The right to remain is a moral issue, and a public health one too.
Can we count on you to be there for Roxbury's children?
Your support is crucial in the work of ACE. Your support anchors our work, and brings the voices of people who have been excluded from decision-making to the table.
Can
we count on you to be there, and make a gift today
?
Will you join with us today and
make a gift on line here? Your support makes us strong enough to fight for all Roxbury residents.
With gratitude,
