Time to announce the June Book Club Pick!
What's a duke to do, when the girl who's perfectly wrong becomes the woman he can't live without?
Griffin York, the Duke of Halford, has no desire to wed this season--or any season--but his diabolical mother abducts him to "Spinster Cove" and insists he select a bride from the ladies in residence. Griff decides to teach her a lesson that will end the marriage debate forever. He chooses the serving girl.
Overworked and struggling, Pauline Simms doesn't dream about dukes. All she wants is to hang up her barmaid apron and open a bookshop. That dream becomes a possibility when an arrogant, sinfully attractive duke offers her a small fortune for a week's employment. Her duties are simple: submit to his mother's "duchess training"... and fail miserably.
But in London, Pauline isn't a miserable failure. She's a brave, quick-witted, beguiling failure--a woman who ignites Griff's desire and soothes the darkness in his soul. Keeping Pauline by his side won't be easy. Even if Society could accept a serving girl duchess--can a roguish duke convince a serving girl to trust him with her heart?
As always, All Romance eBooks is offering the 50% eBook Buck rebate if you use code SBTBARE at checkout. The rebate is good from June 1-15, 2013.
And we have a Book Club Chat date, too! The Book Club Chat will be Thursday, June 27, at 9:00 pm ET. Tessa Dare will join us for Q&A at 10:00pm ET.

Today we are doing something a little different. Dawn is interviewing the bloggers!
Dawn: Welcome, ladies. Please tell us a little bit about yourselves.

Felicia: I am a 40 something romance reader since the mid-80s! I live in Texas with my 2 furr children aka "The Nutty Mutts" and have a lot of family in the area. I spend my free time hanging with friends and family, using yarn therapy, and occasionally breaking out a glass of wine!
Amanda: I'll keep it short and in six words. Survival necessities: books, booze, boyfriend, coffee.
Christi: Can I give my official bio?? That would be easier. LOL...I'm a 42 year old woman obsessed with books and happily ever after. I live in West Texas where I work from home as a romantic suspense author by day and spend the rest of my time reading and reviewing. I've been married to my husband for 20 years. We have an 18 year old son and 5 year old daughter. They're both graduating this year...one from high school, one from kindergarten.
Dawn: What influenced you ladies to start blogs? How long have you been blogging?
Felicia: I actually had a personal blog that kind of spun off into a book blog. My personal blog started in 2006 but my book blog started in 2008. I originally started to track my goal of reading 100 books in a year. I failed miserably that first year but I discovered a great community. It was a great trade-off!
Amanda: I started a book blog because I'd been a guest reviewer on my friend's blog and loved the community. (It's also how I met Felicia, who is a fabulous person to know.) I've had On a Book Bender for two years.
Christi: I started my blog in December of 2010. At the time, my husband was active duty in the Air Force and had just returned from a six month deployment. I've always read a lot, but during that deployment, it became a bit of an obsession. I needed an excuse to keep reading so voraciously, so I started my book review blog when he got back.
Dawn: Other than blogging what other talents do you ladies have?
Felicia: I have a few hobbies that I love: crocheting, wine tasting, and helping find homes for dogs that are in our small little shelter. For work, I am in the technology field (15 years) and love my job! I like things that challenge me and technology does this on a daily basis.
Amanda: Wait. We're supposed to do things besides blogging? I read, hang out on Twitter too much, spend time with my boyfriend, and work. Yeah. Work is important.
Christi:I write romantic suspense. I just released Operation: Endurance, the final book in my romantic suspense trilogy, When the Mission Ends. I read and review 400+ books a year and have a goal to write 4-5 a year, too. Between those two things, I stay pretty busy.
Dawn: Do you have a favorite book or author that inspires you? What books are currently on your to be read list?
Felicia: I couldn't narrow down a favorite author these days. I read a bunch of authors that are on my auto-buy list and that list gets longer every year. That being said, Jill Shavis really inspires me. I did just finish her Animal Magnetism series and it appealed to the animal lover in me. I really enjoyed that series both for the humor and the message!
Amanda: Maureen Johnson inspires me. Not necessarily for the books she writes (though those are good too), but for who she is. I love following her on Twitter. She's funny and doesn't take herself too seriously, but she's also passionate about what she believes in. I respect that.
Christi: Favorite authors...oh wow, I have so many. It's hard to narrow them down, but I'm going to cheat and go to my blog.
These are the authors that I've reviewed the most (that's a pretty good indicator that I LOVE their writing): Bella Andre, Cari Quinn, Christy Reece, Jill Shalvis, Julie James, Laura Kaye, Mari Carr, Mia Downing, Olivia Cunning, Roxanne St. Claire, Shannon Stacey, and Stacey Kennedy.
My current TBR list is over 800 books deep (around 350 on my kindle and the rest in print....I know, it's an obsession.) Out of all those, the books that I'm most looking forward to reading are Shelly Laurenston's Pride series, Liliana Hart's MacKenzie series, and the final two books of Jessica Andersen's Nightkeeper series.
Dawn: Tell us about your favorite moment so far since you started blogging.
Felicia: I met Christine Feehan a couple of years ago at RomCon. It was a huge deal for me since she was one my earliest "series" authors that I adored. I wasn't sure what to expect but we sat and talked for 30 minutes about TV. She was delightful and that really made my experience memorable. She really made me feel comfortable about approaching authors at conventions. I can't thank her enough!
Amanda: I think my favorite moment would have to be the celebration I had for my first blogoversary. I had a week full of guest posts where everyone talked about blogging and the blogging community-and how much we loved them.
Christi: The very first book that I got to review for free as a book blogger was a Julie Garwood book. It was memorable because 20 years ago, when my hubby and I first got married, I worked in a bookstore and the very first book I ever had signed to me by an author was her hardcover book, For The Roses. There was a certain sweet irony to that...kind of like coming full-circle.
Dawn: If you could have any author on your blog who would it be?
Felicia: I don't really do many promotional posts anymore but I would always make an exception for these three ladies: Jennifer Estep, Melissa Schroeder, and Diana Rowland. All 3 for different reasons but they are welcome anytime!
Amanda: Thea Harrison. I adore her Elder Races series.
Christi: Honestly, I don't even think I can answer that question. The book community is so amazing and open. I think if I asked any of my favorite authors to answer a few questions for me, they would all be up for it. If I've learned anything from this experience it's how wonderful authors and the entire book community truly is...I love chatting with authors and the bloggers on Twitter and the blogs. We always have fun when we get to talking about books.
Dawn: Do you have any special features you do on your blogs?
Felicia: We started a feature called Top Off Tuesday over a year ago. It was a great way to promote the romance covers that we love. I also do My Week According to Instagram on Fridays and Tuesday Fun Quotes. They are all really fun and a great way to bring a personal touch to my blog.
Amanda: Every Sunday, I have a post that recaps and shares posts from around the blogosphere that I particularly loved that week. It's a great way to build community.
Christi: My blog is truly a review blog. I rarely do anything other than reviews and our Top Off Tuesday meme. Every once in a while, I'll do a cover reveal or promo post, but overall my blog is all about the reviews.
It should be noted that Top Off Tuesday is VERY dear to my heart though. When it came time to create the covers for my books, my main guidance for my cover designer was that they had to fit this meme... she did an excellent job on them.... hehe.
Dawn: Do you have anything special planned that you'd like to share?
Felicia: I am actually not planning anything right now other than my trip to Lori Foster's Get Together in June. I am already virtually packing in my brain :)
Christi: I recently changed my review policy. Eventually, I hope that 95% or more of my reviews come out of my personally bought TBR pile. I'm ready to start knocking those books off of that huge pile (well, really room) and am so excited to go back to reading the books I want to read, when I want to read them. That's the biggest news for my blog right now.
Thanks so much ladies for joining us today!

TOP PICK
Thrown By a Curve by Jaci Burton
Series:Play by Play, book five
Publisher: Penguin Group USA
For Alicia Riley, her job as a sports therapist for the St. Louis Rivers baseball team is a home run-until she becomes the primary therapist for star pitcher, Garrett Scott. Out of the lineup with an injury, he's short-tempered, hard to handle, and every solid inch, a man.
Right now, the only demand he's making on Alicia is that she get him ready to pitch in time for opening day. Except the sexual chemistry between them is so charged, Alicia's tempted to oblige Garrett just about anything. But both their careers are at stake-one bad move and it's game over for both of them.
Garrett also feels the hot sparks between them, and the way he figures it, what better therapy is there than sex? Now all he has to do is convince the woman with the power to make the call.
Can I just say this was a great book? I read the last page and wanted to cry because I wanted to keep reading about the Riley family and friends saga! This is the fifth book in the Play by Play series, and the cover of this one is just as great as the other covers.
Garrett is the typical star athlete in a lot of aspects - arrogance, confidence, and sexiness. However, he is also sweet and down to earth. Alicia is a member of the Riley family and she embodies everything they stand for. She remains true to her beliefs even though it would have been easier for her to change her mind just to be accepted. I really liked how the story unfolded with the sex scenes enhancing their relationship and not taking over the story. The whole cast of characters drive the story forward and the plot and pacing were spot on. I highly recommend this book as well as the previous four books in the series.
RECOMMENDED READS
No time is wasted in getting Chloe and Ace back together, and sparks fly the moment they see each other for the first time in ten years. Chloe's initial hesitance reflects where she is at as a widowed single mother, but the more time she spends with Ace, the deeper she falls. Ace is ready to do whatever it takes to win a second chance with her, and his actions really prove that. The connection between these two is unmistakable and highlights just how right they are for each other, even after ten years apart.
This is a truly fabulous reunion story. The burgeoning relationship is rooted in the intense one Chloe and Ace had while in college. With the help of Chloe's college friend, who encourages her to let things happen with Ace, and a short interaction between Ace and Chloe's daughter, there is a very satisfying ending for this quick read.
Spellbinding and nonstop action make this a book you can't put down! Strong leading characters backed up by a cast of strong supporting characters keep you glued to the pages.
Joss's special talent as a 'mirror' allows him to absorb the talents of other psychic agents through a syncing process. Dru is able to read memories by touching the other person. Their abilities often caused them mental anguish adding even more suspense to this story. And suspenseful it was even though the villain was not hidden. His utter evilness made you cheer on the heroine through all the trials she experienced at his hands. I loved how Joss's fellow FBI agents featured prominently in the book without taking over the plot. All their abilities and talents worked together to further the story and kept the book flowing smoothly. Walker is a great storyteller, weaving the suspense and romance seamlessly to keep the reader engaged until the very end. I definitely recommend this book, and the entire series. While not necessary to read the previous books, I highly suggest it for your sheer enjoyment.
Cat Thomas has never been the kind of girl to stick. A self-professed infatuation junky, she latches on the newest, hottest guy on the block, then finds a reason-real or imagined-to dump him. When she accepts a dare to rekindle her high school flame and jump in bed with her brother's best friend, Shane Decker, she knows she's in trouble. She can't resist the man, even after all these years apart, and that just won't do.
From the start of this book I was drawn in by the amazing plot that had Cat doing everything in her power to show Shane that they were all wrong for each other. However, Shane had the patience of a saint and wasn't about to give up on her. The dialogue was great, providing some laughs throughout which I believed was Cat's way of keeping her distance. The sex scenes were steamy and full of passion because their attraction for each other had been between them for years. What I liked so much about Cat was her stubbornness, yet in the end it didn't save her by making her be able to stay away from Shane like she thought. While with the hero, I loved how patient he was with Cat and that he wouldn't give up on being with her. Then again, if you love someone you should never give up hope that in the end you'll find a way to be with that person.
Ms. Bell has again proven herself to be a great writer with this second title in her Dare Me series. I would recommend this book, but first I suggest readers seek out the first in the series - Down for the Count - which is the story of Cat's best friend and her brother, who are excellent secondary characters in this story.
Detective Astrid Holmes is a sensitive, a human capable of feeling the energy of otherworlders. When she is dispatched to the horrific murder scene of a local vampire, she expects it to be just another day on the job. But when evidence is stolen on her watch, she is removed--not only from the investigation, but from her job as a member of the Chicago police department's paranormal unit.Astrid's only hope of reinstatement lies with her ex-coworker and almost lover, Lycan Mason Sanderson.
I really didn't know what to expect from this book at first. I found the start a bit slow, but the more I read I found the plat becoming more and more enjoyable. The dialogue was interesting. Also, the conversations between the hero and the heroine give insight into the yoyo relationship Astrid and Mason have. The sex scenes were hot, but I thought could have been introduced into the book a lot sooner than they were because the sexual tension between Astrid and Mason was very intense. What I Liked so much about Astrid was that she wasn't about to let something like being taken off the case ruin her career, and that she involved herself in the investigation any way she could. With MAson, I liked how protective he was with Astrid even though he didn't want her involved in the first place because she was human and could easily get hurt.
This was the first book I've read by this author and I have to say I'm now looking forward to reading others that Ms. Allee has written.
