Incident Awareness Course for Hired Vendors

Hosted by the Working on FIRE Training Academy



May 18th, 7:30-4PM


This 1-day class is designed for hired vendors contracting with CAL FIRE or USFS during a wildfire incident, including water tender operators, heavy equipment operators, dozer operators, crew bus drivers, vehicle drivers, mechanics, fallers, swampers and chain saw operators.

Edison International Awards $1 Mil for Environmental Workforce Collaborative

The Ventura County Community Foundation was awarded $1 million in support of the Environmental Workforce Collaborative in partnership with CREW, Safe Passage Youth Foundation, Santa Monica Mountains Fund, Ventura Regional Fire Safe Council, and Los Padres ForestWatch!

SCE's Wildfire Mitigation Plan outlines actions they are making to lower the risk of wildfires associated with electrical systems in high fire risk areas. Some of these actions include strengthening the grid, conducting inspections on equipment, vegetation management, improved monitoring and further risk assessments, and many more.
