Bernice Kish Gallery at Slayton House | |
Come take a look at Richard Pitts' Pages on display outside Slayton House.
When you learn about Richard Pitts, you see a story that begins with a solid educational foundation that was built upon during 40 years as a teacher, sharing his craft and gift with others. His work wasn’t confined to the realms of academia, though. Through many solo exhibitions, outdoor installations, group exhibitions, and inclusion in many public collections, his works have been appreciated and loved by many. The sculpture is on loan from Howard County artsites.
'Pages' will be on display through July 2025.

I am Ashwin Hazarika, a rising senior at Atholton High School in Columbia, MD; I am honored to announce another "Voice of Soul || Concert for Cancelling Cancer" fundraiser, a cause that's close to my heart. Having lost a dear friend and classmate Jamie Caswell to cancer, my previous fundraiser was embarked on to help the Dana Farber Cancer Institute to treat him and the other patients, and a testament to our commitment to fighting this disease. Together, we can honor my friend's memory by contributing to advancements that will shape the future of cancer treatment and care. Every donation plays a vital role in supporting research initiatives that offer hope and healing to individuals and families facing cancer.
My Jimmy Fundraiser event directly benefits the Jimmy Fund, which has raised millions of dollars through thousands of grassroots efforts to help save lives and give hope to patients at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Come and have tons of fun at Slayton House! Contribute to an incredible cause and enjoy music.
