It should be no surprise  to anyone paying attention to the weather that it was pretty wet for last week's homecoming. Still, there was an amazing turnout for the game and lots of school spirit! Some of our youngest Wildcats took their show on the road, while our Forever Young group hit the road to Stillwater. MEA is next week, so check your school schedule for particulars. Fall musical tickets go on sale Monday, October 15th - check out the article for the latest, AND Wall of Fame nominations are now open.

CLMS Students Head to DC (with a little help)

Pictured from top left clockwise: Bradon Skaudis, Krystal Arnsdorff, Peighton Carlson, Joshua Abbott, and Brooke Klemz.

Last February, CLMS received a phone call from a retired member of the CL community.  This person had heard about the Washington DC trip we offer for middle school students. At that time, this person offered to sponsor three students who might need support to attend the 2018 Fall trip to our nation's capital for this once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

CLMS created a scholarship application process, giving students two weeks to answer the four-question short answer application.  A five-person selection committee was organized and the applications were reviewed.  There were many quality applications and after further review it was deemed that five applications stood out.  The anonymous donor decided to grant all five scholarships.  What an amazing gift to these students - $6,200 in student travel scholarships, allowing these students the opportunity to take the four-day trip to Washington DC with the Chisago Lakes Middle School group.

The recipients are  Bradon Skaudis, Krystal Arnsdorff,  Peighton Carlson, Joshua Abbott & Brooke Klemz. Congratulations to the these students and thanks again to this amazingly generous donor (who wishes to remain anonymous).  You have truly made dreams come true!
