Dear Friends of Ivory Coast Mothers and Children,
With the holiday season upon us, I have been reflecting on how grateful I am for the generous support of our ICMC friends and donors. Without all of you and your kind hearts, the life-saving work that takes place at the clinic would not be possible. Of course, I am especially grateful for our incredible clinic staff in Braffouéby. These individuals have had such a profound impact on my life in so many ways and I am humbled to be able to continue to give back to the kind hard-working people there. I am counting down until the world is back open and I can see their smiling faces in person.
During this time of giving and thanks, there are many in the village who still need assistance. We would love your support to help us make this a joyous holiday season in the village.
There is a sweet young five-year-old girl, Ava, who has been brought to the clinic for treatment of an infected tumor on her head. The tumor has enlarged to so great a size that it impairs her daily life, hindering her ability to crawl or even sit up comfortably. We have received both the quotation and consultation details from the hospital and are looking for a generous donor to help us cover the $700 cost of her medical treatment and get this precious girl back to smiling again.
