Art and storytelling join forces again this year in a salute to the legacy of Oshkosh native Mark Gruenwald. Participants can go solo or team up to compete for prizes and a chance to showcase their work.  Requirements vary by age group. Brought to you by Oshkosh Public Library, Winnebago Area Literacy Council, House of Heroes Comics & Games and EAA.

KIDS & TEENS

Complete a short StoryWalk® (kids) or solve the brainteaser puzzle (teens) to earn a FREE Youth (ages 3 – 17) day pass to Pollock Community Water Park. While supplies last. All teens who register for the Summer Reading Challenge at the event will be entered into a drawing for a $25 Marcus Theatre gift card.


ADULTS

Bring a book to read and receive a free book when you register for Summer Reading! Raffle prizes include two $10 Starbucks gift cards and one $25 Downtown Oshkosh gift card.

Share your writing in front of an audience during the Write Now! After Hours Open Mic. Watch Return of the Jedi at the Time Community Theater. Arrive early to register for the Mark Gruenwald Comic Book Challenge, enter a drawing to win free Star Wars books and meet Librarian Sandy. Buzz is building for May’s bee-utiful Adult DIY project. Do you know a child who loves LEGOs? Kids can stop by the Children’s Department (Lower Level) LEGO wall on Wednesdays from 4 – 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. to build to their heart’s content using the library’s bricks. Registration is not required.
