October 2020
Thriving During Difficult Times
It's been another PAWSitively action-packed month for therapy teams! They've been making visits and spreading much-needed cheer across South Florida.

From pet car parades at JM Family Center and Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue, to window, socially-distanced and virtual visits at Salah Children's Hospital, Parkland Library, Quantum House, Imperial Point Medical Center and Williamsburg Landing Senior Living, Canine Assisted Therapy is here for the community, and able to provide therapeutic interactions during the pandemic, thanks to supporters and volunteers.

With your help and support, we hope to continue providing these much needed services!
Community Partnerships & Events
Therapy Dogs Thank Fire Rescue in Style
Canine Assisted Therapy organized a special canine car parade to show support and gratitude for local Fire Rescue heroes.
To honor their dedication and sacrifice of keeping our community safe, the parade of 10 cars containing therapy dogs and TeleDogs, waved and wagged from the car windows, and then spent time posing near the fire trucks and with the administrative personnel, including Fire Rescue Deputy Chief Chantal Botting.
NextGen United Happy Hour Goes to the Dogs
United Way of Broward's young professional's group, NextGen, invited us to their recent United's Virtual Happy Hour. In honor of Canine Assisted Therapy - a funding partner of United Way Broward - this happy hour was B.Y.O.P. (Bring Your Own Pet) for NextGen members who gathered for an evening of fun, philanthropy and furry friends while learning about our organization.

Thanks NextGen for a fun evening and for your support!
Monthly Giving
For as little as $13 a month, your monthly gift can have a huge and lasting impact on someone who has been traumatized, suffers from depression, is isolated and lonely, or who is undergoing cancer treatment. YOU can make their life better.
YOU have that power!

Our monthly donors support us and provide hope and comfort 12 times a year.

Every gift directly improves the health and well-being of adults and children!
Special Thanks
Canine Assisted Therapy funder, the Tony Stewart Foundation, recently paid a visit to our facility during their national funding partners tour.

Pet therapy teams were on hand to give a warm furry welcome. Canine Assisted Therapy is proud to partner with another local non-profit Quantum House who is also funded through the generosity of the Tony Stewart Foundation.
