The following is what I’ve confirmed for this weekend’s track work:

Weekend, Fri April 1- Sun April 3, Eastbound Brighton Beach Ave
  • This weekend cranes will be staged at Brighton 2nd and Brighton 4th Streets.
  • These will be the only streets blocked to turning traffic from Brighton Beach Ave due to the staged cranes.
  • Brighton 3rd St will have intermittent closures due to track panels being lifted overhead. We can’t say how long those closures will be for, but they will be for the duration of the panel lifts. This is done for the safety of the public.
  • Brighton 1st Road will be open to traffic.
  • Local traffic for Brighton 2nd and Brighton 4th St via Brightwater Ct to access those streets for parking only. People will be able to walk up to Brighton Beach Ave.
  • Traffic from Brightwater Ct will be able to use Brighton 1st Pl, Brighton 5th  and Brighton 7th to Brighton Beach Ave

Next Weekend April 8 -10, we’ll be at Brighton 4th and Brighton 5th Sts. This should be our last weekend replacing panels in this segment of track unless the weather or some unforeseen reason prevents us from working.

We have no plans to work the weekend of April 15-17, Easter/Passover weekend.  However, I will advise our track division that if work gets cancelled for the weekend of April 8-10, the community is requesting no work on the holiday weekend.
