Spotlight Theatre Invitation - May 1
The Acting I/Advanced Acting classes would like to invite you to attend Spotlight Theatre Spring 2024! The performance will take place Wednesday, May 1 at 1:30 p.m. in the Edward K. Daniels Auditorium. Spotlight is the final for the acting classes.
 
Three short scenes from full-length plays will be presented: The Thanksgiving Play by Larissa FastHorse (performed by Camden Griffith and Jozlyn Napier), Laundry and Bourbon by James McClure (Cadence Howard and Ally Hutchins), and The Revolutionists by Lauren Gunderson (Morgan Cole and Savannah Sexton). The entire performance will last 25-30 minutes.
Celebration of Life - May 2
You are cordially invited to attend the Celebration of Life for Deema Tackett on Thursday, May 2. Dr. Julie Krebs has shared that Deema’s sister and son will be in attendance as well.

Ohio Code Scholar Program - May 6

On Monday, May 6, Southern State will host the second annual end-of-year celebration for students, faculty, and staff involved in the Ohio Code Scholar (OCS) project. The event will occur in the Patriot Center at Central Campus from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event is closed to the public but will include many program supporters. Special recognition is extended to computer science professor Dr. Josh Montgomery and his dependable colleague and event organizer, Mrs. Amy McClellan, for their outstanding efforts in sustaining and growing an exceptional technology-based program across southern Ohio.
Spring 2024 Cybersecurity Training - Deadline May 10
Cybersecurity Awareness Training is mandatory for all Southern State team members with computer access.
 
As we have done in past training experiences, the Cybersecurity Training selected for this Spring is available through the Dayforce Learning Platform. You can access the training by logging into Dayforce (formerly MyEconnect) and selecting Learning from the navigation menu.
 
You will have until May 10, 2024, to complete the assigned training.
 
It is recommended that you complete this training on your desktop or laptop.
New Student Orientation
In-person orientation for new students who are beginning this summer semester will be held during the following times:

Central Campus | Monday, May 13
  • 5:30 - 8 p.m. 
 
Brown Co. Campus | Wednesday, May 15
  • 5:30 - 8 p.m.

Cincy Magazine opened the nominations for this campaign a few months back to recognize those who are the best in providing services and products to Greater Cincinnati families!

All finalists will be listed in the upcoming 2024 summer issue of Cincy Magazine while the winner will have the option to be featured in the cover story. Let's get Southern State on that cover this summer!
