August 2016 Reinvestment Report Statistics
Oklahoma Main Street Program (OKMSP) requires all its Main Street cities to submit Monthly Reinvestment Reports in order to maintain their status. If Main Street Bartlesville (MSB) misses 3 reports, it will lose access to the free services provided by OKMSP, including architectural and business development services, training, and much more.
The purpose of the reinvestment report is to show the investment being made in downtown, both private and public. The information collected includes renovations and new construction, properties sold, businesses coming into and those leaving downtown, new jobs and jobs lost. Volunteer hours are also included in this report. All information provided to Main Street Bartlesville for the report is kept confidential.
For August 2016, $12,000 in renovations was invested and two new businesses opened. A total of 324 hours were put in by Main Street volunteers.
Cumulative numbers since Main Street Bartlesville's inception in October 2010: $17,321,066 private investment (renovations, new construction, properties purchased); 281 jobs added and 71 businesses opened (net); $672,500 public investment; and 22,019 hours put in by Main Street volunteers.

Downtown Ghost Walk Returns for the Seventh Year
For the 7th consecutive year, the award-winning downtown Ghost Walk will haunt the historic streets of Bartlesville. Beginning at 6 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn on both Wednesday and Thursday, October 28th and October 29th, this year's
event feature
s new locations and new stories based on real life incidents
that took place in and around Washington County. These spook
y tales are told by some of Bartlesville's best actors and actre
sses under the direction of Theater Bartlesville's Troy Martin.
Locations on this year's guided tour include the spot where Bartlesville's City Hall once stood over 100 years ago, a former feed store and livery that played an important role in the life of early citizens, a building that once housed a Sears and Roebuck store and many more. Live entertainment, food and drink specials and the popular Halloween photo booth will help liven up the festivities as well. The Bartlesville Ghost Walk is presented by local non-profit Mainstreet Bartlesville, Inc. and all proceeds benefit the continued revitalization of downtown. Tickets are $10 and tours leave every 15 minutes. The Ghost Walk is recommended for patrons 12 years and older. Visit mainstreetbartlesville.org for more information.

Main Street Mash-10/29
Eat, drink and be scary at Main Street Bartlesville's Inaugural Main Street Mash dance party on Oct. 29 at 8 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Ball Room. Designed to be one of a kind, the Main Street Mash is a delightfully ghoulish night of dancing to the pop sounds of the band Zodiac.
"Everyone said
they wished there was an adult Halloween party to go to locally," said Bo Wilson, event chair. "So, we put together a committee to create a party that will hopefully be known as The Halloween Party. It's all about having fun."
There are cash prizes for costumes in four categories: Best Male, Best Female, Best Couple and Best Group. Satisfy your hunger at the complimentary taco bar and quench your thirst at the cash bar. Be brave, don't be afraid and try your luck at the 50/50 raffle.
Professional portraits will be taken by Mark Blumer Photography as well as groovy dance shots.
There are plenty of chances for thrills and chills as Bartlesville Film Society is playing frightful film classics for your screening pleasure.
For those inspired by the Night of the Living Dead there are a limited number of discounted hotel rooms for $74 and the group rate code can be obtained through Main Street Bartlesville when buying tickets.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the door. Attendees must be 21+ and all proceeds benefit Main Street Bartlesville, Inc. For tickets, call 918-214-8500 or visit mainstreetbartlesville.org.
"Slip into something fun and shake your ghoul thing until it drives you insane," said Wilson. "This is sure to be a funtasmagoric night!"
