“La Nuda Eleganza” is a heartfelt documentary based on a book of the same name by photographer and artist Romeo Civilli. His book features a series of portraits of people who lived during the Second World War, with phrases emblematic of their memories. This 45-minute film is screened in Italian and Neapolitan dialect, on the occasion of Festa della Liberazione (Italian Liberation Day), Thursday, April 25. His focus on collaboration and care, as well as his references to art historical portraits and classical poses, are exemplified in two recent bodies of work.
