Up Next – More GREAT Music & Stories!

Thank you so much to everyone who attended the Brilliantly Bacharach show at the wonderful John Saunders Centre last week! I’m sure we all had moments when we thought “I didn’t know that Burt Bacharach composed that song!” He certainly wrote the music that touched so much of our lives. Decades of music! I personally loved listening to the wonderful band play that great music. The response from those in attendance was amazing and we really appreciate all the wonderful notes we received after the show! We love to hear from you so please send your feedback to us any time to erica@theatrecollingwood.ca.

So let’s keep the party going!

We could not have our 40th Anniversary Year without including Leisa Way. Leisa has performed for Theatre Collingwood audiences for so many years and has brought so much joy to so many. She is also one of the most wonderful artists to work with!

"It is an honour to be included in such a fabulous season to celebrate Theatre Collingwood's anniversary of 40 years presenting phenomenal, high calibre shows to their audiences. My band and I adore performing for Theatre Collingwood audiences, because not only are Collingwood audiences among the most generous in the world, but the Theatre Collingwood team is a dream to work with. Congrats to Theatre Collingwood on this momentous achievement and thank you for inviting us to celebrate 40 years with you in May!"

Leisa Way

May 7th-10th Leisa will be presenting her newest show “With A Song In My Heart” at the John Saunders Centre. Written and produced by Leisa Way, this new production includes some new band members, too: Leisa Way – vocals, Nathan Smith – violin and vocals, Jack Gaughan – guitars and vocals, Doug Balfour – piano and vocals, and Bob Hewus – bass and vocals.

This show will take you on a musical journey filled with hit after hit from The Great American Songbook, and what Leisa calls The Great Canadian Songbook. If you loved the Brilliantly Bacharach show then you will also love Leisa’s dive into the rich tapestry of this influential era that began in the early 20th century and continues to shape music today. Leisa Way, accompanied by her powerhouse quintet of exceptional musicians, is a captivating interpreter of melody, story, and song. This concert unveils a treasure trove of iconic and beloved songs, spanning from Harold Arlen to Joni Mitchell, Johnny Mercer to Leonard Cohen and Willie Nelson, and Irving Berlin to Paul McCartney. Truly something for everyone!
