Adult Christian Education Class | |

Our Adult Christian Ed offering, “I’ve Got Questions, You’ve Got Answers”, will be held Sundays at 9:15am in the Parish Hall. This is a way for us to dive more deeply into the scriptures for the week from the Lectionary. It will focus on the Gospel but often allow us to use the OT, Epistle, or Psalm. On Fridays in the What’s Happening, a question will be posed from my sermon prep along with the appropriate Scripture reference. Then, on Sundays folks will be able to give answers, ask deeper questions, and discuss the theology, doctrine, and discern how it might fit in our daily lives. Please join us!
Question for May 12th
Scripture Reference: John 17:6-19 (NRSV)
In the Gospel Jesus prays for his followers, “That they may be One”.
- How can we identify the Church as “One”?
- Do you see visible signs of the unity of the Church?
- Do you see visible signs of the division of the Church?
- Are there ways you can help move the Church to a higher level of unity?
- Do you have hopes that the Church may yet be visibly united? What signs would tell you that is happening?
- What are you thinking about this Mother’s Day?

Parishioner Jackie Jabour, who has been with us since 2020, has been diagnosed with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma, a rare form of cancer. Jackie is a realtor and has not been able to work consistently since November of 2023. Jackie and her daughter Ava need our help. If you are able to give financially it would be a great way for us to support her in this time of need. You may make checks directly to Holy Spirit Episcopal Church - PLEASE WRITE "JACKIE JABOR" IN THE MEMO. Please note that we are not able to credit any donations for Jackie to your giving statements per IRS code. If you have questions regarding this you may contact the church treasurer, Alysha Miller, at hsec.treasurer@gmail.com
We appreciate any help you can provide. Please keep Jackie and Ava and the team of doctors and nurses in your prayers.

Coffee Hour Sunday
Volunteers Needed
| |
|
Coffee Hour is a time of fellowship after the church service has ended. It provides a welcoming place to talk to the clergy, to meet new people, and to relax with friends. Our Coffee Hour hosts provide light refreshments, coffee and tea. We try to include a healthy alternative alongside our sweet treats.
Coffee Hour host arrives before each service to start the coffee (regular & decaf packets are in the drawers below the coffee maker) and put together their food items, leave the service right after Communion to prepare to serve, and then clean up afterward. Hosting a coffee hour is easy and fun. Please sign up on the sheet in the Parish Hall or call the office for more information.
