Idaho Museum of Natural History adds Giant Skeletons to National 3D Collection
A zoologist is poring over a digital version of the skull of an Arctic wolf from her office in Arizona. Meanwhile, an artist notices the intricate details of a western diamondback on her screen in Vermont. While they’re hypothetical, each scenario is now possible thanks to the work of researchers at the Idaho Museum of Natural History and more than a dozen other institutions.

Research and Creative Activity Social/Networking Event on April 18
Faculty and staff are invited to join the Office of Research on Thursday, April 18, from 3:30-5 p.m. in the Little Wood River room (Pond Student Union building, Pocatello campus) for the Spring 2024 Faculty Research and Creative Activity Networking Social.
The event offers opportunities to connect, learn about each others' work, and meet new colleagues. There will be networking discussions on artificial intelligence, resilience and adaptation, and rural health.

New OSP Zoom Labs: Easier Access to Research Funding Expertise
The Office of Sponsored Programs & Support (OSP) is pleased to announce a new initiative to provide faculty and staff with easier access to research funding expertise. OSP will host regular Zoom open drop-in lab sessions, allowing researchers to connect with OSP staff in a convenient and flexible format.
The first session will be held on Wednesday, April 17, at 2 p.m. The next session is scheduled for Thursday, May 9, at 1 p.m.
During these sessions, OSP staff will be available to answer questions and provide guidance on a variety of topics related to sponsored research.

Brand Training: Logos, Why They Matter and How to Use Them
The Office of Marketing and Communication is hosting a mini training and open forum for all University faculty and staff. This training event is an opportunity to learn more about brand logos, why they matter, and how to use them in a short presentation. College of Arts and Letters and the Office for Research to offer Idaho Humanities Grant Information Session
Join us on April 17, from 1 to 2 p.m., in the Pond Student Union Middle Fork Room, as Idaho Humanities Council Executive Director David Pettyjohn and Grants Manager Doug Exton share information on grant opportunities for ISU faculty, along with strategies for preparing successful applications and advice regarding the grant process.
New and experienced researchers are encouraged to attend, as are faculty curious about individual and collaborative humanities/interdisciplinary grant projects. Refreshments will be provided.

Nutrition and Dietetics Program Now Offered in Meridian
Idaho State University’s Department of Nutrition and Dietetics will soon offer a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics to those in the Treasure Valley, based on demand for the program and the growing need for registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) in the area.

We want to make sure those stories are shared publicly. Here are a few ways you can provide a news tip to help get the word out:
Use this Story Submission Form to send your news tip to the Office of Marketing and Communications.
Send an email to Logan McDougall (loganmcdougall@isu.edu) with a brief description of the news to be shared.
You are always welcome to create a draft story, submit it via the Story Submission Form, or send it to Logan. The Office of Marketing and Communications and Logan will coordinate to get the story finalized and distributed to the media outlets/platforms that best tell the story.
