Doing More in 2024!

Blessed with another year, the West Fresno Family Resource Center strives to be stronger than ever to meet the needs of our community. To that end we have unofficially adopted the theme Do MORE IN 24.

Our dedication to the West Fresno community remains unwavering as we continue to provide a wide range of resources, services, and events. From the Sweet Potato Project II to MediCal and CalFresh Enrollment, from Case Management to Senior Wellness, and from Health Education to Home Visitation, we are here to support our families.

WE ARE COMMITTED TO THE WEST FRESNO COMMUNITY. In addition to our existing offerings, we are determined to go above and beyond by listening to the unique needs of our residents and responding with tailor-made programs and events. Our goal is to not only meet but exceed the expectations of the community we serve.

For those who may not know, our main office has changed its location to the South Stadium Building at 700 Van Ness Blvd, Fresno CA 93721. Our staff worked tirelessly throughout January to acclimate ourselves to the new office space. I can’t thank staff enough for their excellent work since the start of this New Year.

Though our location has changed, our mission remains the same. Further, the family resource center will continue to have a physical presence in West Fresno. Staff will be at the following locations during these dates and times until further notice.

Annadale Commons:

West Fresno Family Resource Center's Collaboration with the Independent Living Association

From the Office of Community Partnerships and Strategic Communications (OCPSC)

The Office of Community Partnerships and Strategic Communications (OCPSC) is thrilled to share exciting news regarding a partnership that has been blossoming between West Fresno Family Resource Center and the Independent Living Association (ILA). Over the past few months, the OCPSC team has had the privilege of collaborating closely with ILA. We are delighted to announce our continued commitment to supporting their invaluable work.

ILA, a beacon of hope for individuals facing severe mental illness, homelessness, developmental delays, and other socio-economic challenges, provides a stable sanctuary for those in need. With a focus on fostering a familial atmosphere for all who enter their doors, ILA's mission aligns closely with our core values of community support and empowerment.

At the heart of this partnership is our collective effort to uplift and empower the clients of ILA. Through various initiatives and programs, we have been able to make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve. One such initiative is our weekly food distribution program, where individuals from ILA have been given the opportunity to volunteer and actively participate in serving their community. This not only provides much-needed relief for ILA's clients but also fosters a profound sense of belonging and purpose.

In addition to volunteering opportunities, we have also extended our support by providing fresh food to those residing in ILA's homes, especially during times when financial resources may be scarce for them. This gesture not only addresses immediate needs but also underscores our commitment to holistic well-being and community care.

Furthermore, we were thrilled to facilitate COVID-19 vaccination efforts in collaboration with UCSF at our distribution events. Witnessing the joy and relief on the faces of ILA residents as they received their vaccines was truly heartwarming and reaffirmed the importance of accessible healthcare for all.

As we reflect on the impact of our partnership with ILA, we are reminded of the transformative power of community collaboration. Together, we have the opportunity to create meaningful change and build a more inclusive and supportive community for all.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to ILA for making this collaboration possible. Their dedication and passion paired with ours allows us to continue striving for a brighter future, one where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.

Thank You!
