GREEN INITIATIVES

RBC Place London is committed to protecting our environment and is continuously looking to improve our waste management and energy programs. Currently efforts are directed to reducing waste and energy use, and recycling/reusing as many items as possible while continuing to offer a safe environment for guests and staff.


RBCPL partners with Waste Management to keep track of our green efforts and together we are reaching some amazing milestones!

2022 Green Milestones Reached

Last year was the start of our industry's recovery. In the spring, restrictions on capacity for convention centres were removed and events resumed at RBC Place London allowing us to build momentum towards a full recovery.

 

From March to December, we hosted 126 events (about 50% of a pre-pandemic year), achieved 72% of our 2019 total revenue, and generated $11.2 million in direct economic impact for the city of London and surrounding region. Fall 2022 was record breaking with September event revenues surpassing any previous year.

 

In 2022, events hosted at RBC Place London produced 58,463 delegate days, creating a building utilization rate of 40%. By the end of the year, we were close to pre-pandemic staffing levels, having hired 55 new associates to join the team.
