Introducing

Evan

______________

Liberty member since 2007

A Liberty member since he was four years old -- his trademark smile still preserved in his check-in photo -- Evan literally grew up on the Liberty tennis courts, soaking in lessons, playing in the various junior competitive groups, and making memorable meaningful connections with Liberty’s coaches. Now a senior at Michigan State, studying Economics and currently enjoying the summer at home, Evan finds his evening adult workout time at his “second home” just as meaningful -- both mentally and physically. Motivated to maintain his health and wellness by the idea that while “you may delay, time will not,” Evan conscientiously pounds out his steps on the Stairmaster, gaining physical strength and endurance while simultaneously blasting away stress and anxiety.

When Evan is not spending his downtime working out, you’ll likely find him outdoors, soaking in his summertime before he returns to campus. Whether it’s relaxing by the water, walking his dog Finn, or playing a recreational game of tennis with his family and friends, Evan is on the road to creating some memorable 2024 moments under the sun!

AROUND THE CLUB

Home Swim Meet This Saturday!

The outdoor waterpark opens at

1:00 p.m. after the swim meet is completed. During the meet, the outdoor pools are not available for recreational swimming.

Parking on Swim Meet Day

During the hours between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., our parking lot will be busy with those families involved in the meet. Should you wish to park on Scio Ridge Rd., please ensure that all four wheels of your vehicle are off the pavement.

THANK YOU, Liberty community!

Our film day with the Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid crew was an enormous success due to your support, flexibility, and enthusiasm!

We appreciate all of you who made the film day run smoothly, all of you who enthusiastically participated in the filming, and all of you who rearranged your schedule for us.

A special thank you goes out to Jermaine Givens, Personal Trainer, and the Papadopoulos family for their time and willingness to be interviewed for this exciting project.

Please stay tuned for more news about our episode release this fall!

Members: Please Stop by the Front Desk for a Photo!

Please take a moment this month to stop by the front desk to ensure that you - and all members of your family - have a current ID photo on file connected to your membership. Photos of our members ensure the safety and security of our entire community, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this initiative.

Men's Health Month

It's Men's Health Month, and our Liberty Nutrition Specialist, Bethany Williston, is sharing some tips on how to keep your heart healthy! ❤️Try adding some omega-3 fatty acids to your diet by including some of the foods below:

  • Walnuts are great on oatmeal or in salads, and walnut oil works with vinegar for salad dressing
  • Add milk, maple syrup, cinnamon, and a dash of salt to chia seeds to make overnight pudding
  • Salmon, mackerel, lake trout, and canned light tuna (in water) are good as main dishes
  • Oysters, anchovies, sardines, and herring are good as appetizers and pizza toppings
  • Tofu is an easy meat substitute, while edamame is a quick snack

Read the packaging on egg cartons. Chickens can be fed an omega-3 diet, and their eggs will contain omega-3.

Here's to your healthy heart!
