"Surround yourself with people who force you to do better."

If you’ve frequented Liberty’s fit floor in the evenings, you’ve probably noticed new Liberty members and weight-training duo Anthony & Carol Ann in the midst of their daily resistance workout. Squat and deadlift enthusiasts – and true believers in holding each other accountable and continually ‘forcing each other to do better” – Anthony and Carol Ann push themselves to surpass their physical limits while simultaneously motivating each other to persevere.

Looking forward to spending their summer trail running, hiking, and kayaking, it’s the “new adventures” that await that motivate this dynamic duo to maintain their health and wellness.

Inspired by their teamwork? Give Anthony and Carol Ann a thumbs up -- and a warm welcome -- the next time you see them on the fit floor!

TENNIS NEWS & INFORMATION

From the desk of Dan Goldberg, Director of Tennis

For many Liberty tennis players, the months of May and June mark the beginning of USTA season. For many local high school and college players, this time marks the end of their season, culminating with State and NCAA tournaments.

Liberty is strongly regarded as a top training facility where high-level competitive players can regularly go to hone their skills.  The Liberty tennis staff has developed many players that have won numerous High School State Championships and have earned top Midwest and National rankings. Every year several players go on to compete on college tennis teams, and some earn athletic scholarships. As the Girl's High School Tennis and NCAA seasons have recently wrapped up, I would like to recognize several current and former Liberty players and teams that have recently excelled on the courts.

The 5.5 Women’s Combo team, captained by Janet Barden, came in 3rd place with a victory over Wisconsin. Janet is a newer captain to Liberty Athletic Club. Her passion for the sport and her commitment to the players is exceptional. She is always organizing team practices and is very welcoming to those who are new.
