WE HAVE A NEW LAPTOP!

Hallelujah! The heavens have answered our prayers for a new laptop at the church! A glorious angel, swooped in with a divine donation from the New Spirit church vaults to bless us with a $3,000 check which we used to purchase a Dell G15 Intel Core I9 laptop! With 16mb of memory and a 1 tb hard drive, this baby is a true miracle worker!

Roxann wasted no time setting it up, ensuring our Sunday services run smoother than a silk robe on a choirboy. Priced at $1,499, this heavenly device comes with 3 years of service to keep us connected to the big guy upstairs without any technical glitches. And that's not all - our board members, in their infinite wisdom, will be investing in a large screen TV to amplify the glory of our new laptop's content for all to see!

Thanks to this celestial collaboration our congregation can now enjoy a seamless service experience, free of interruptions and full of heavenly visuals! Hallelujah and amen!

PRIDE MONTH INFORMATION

PRIDE MONTH

The gay liberation movement was a social and political movement of the late 1960s through the mid-1980s in the Western world, that urged lesbians and gay men to engage in radical direct action, and to counter societal shame with gay pride. In the feminist spirit of the personal being political, the most basic form of activism was an emphasis on coming out to family, friends, and colleagues, and living life as an openly lesbian or gay person.

The Stonewall Inn in the gay village of Greenwich Village, Manhattan, New York City, was the site of the June 1969 Stonewall riots, and became the cradle of the modern LGBT rights movement, and the subsequent gay liberation movement. Early in the seventies, annual political marches through major cities, (usually held in June, originally to commemorate the yearly anniversary of the events at Stonewall) were still known as "Gay Liberation" marches. Not until later in the seventies (in urban gay centers) and well into the eighties (in smaller communities) did the marches begin to be called "gay pride parades". The movement involved the lesbian and gay communities in North America, South America, Western Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

SHARE FOOD, SHARE LOVE

FOOD PANTRY NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Want to volunteer at Share Food Share Love, click here!

Food insecurity has emerged as a pressing public health issue impacting our communities, exacerbated by the recent termination of additional funding in the SNAP program. In response, it is crucial to rally behind initiatives like Share Food Share Love, a vital organization aiding those in need. Your contribution to the Share Food Share Love Food Pantry can significantly impact struggling families by providing three meals with just a $1.00 donation. Your generosity plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our community members do not go hungry. We urge all community members to join us in combating food insecurity by supporting the Share Food Share Love Food Pantry. Convenient drop-off locations are available, such as the food box at Tischler's or the church, for your non-perishable food donations. Let us unite in solidarity to navigate these challenging times together. Thank you for standing with us in this important cause.

If you live in the surrounding area of Brookfield, you may qualify to be our neighbor at Share Food, Share Love. You can stop in on Tuesday evenings 7pm to 9 pm and Saturday mornings 10 am to 12 pm to apply and gather up some food for you and your family. If you do come, please try to bring your own reusable bags but if you forget, we will have bags for you.

Thank you!
