While Sanctuary renovation work is underway, our worship service is in the Ecker Fellowship Hall on Sunday mornings. From May 26 through the completion of the renovation, the only service will be at 11AM. Please join us for refreshments and fellowship immediately following our worship.

Your Input Is Needed

Youth Music Ensemble "Harmonics" Survey

We are excited to announce the launch of Harmonics, a new musical offering for 5th-8th graders this fall 2024. Harmonics is an opportunity for our young people to continue using their musical gifts beyond their time in our children's choirs. It's a music ensemble with hand bells, vocal enrichment, and fun. The Harmonics will play an essential part in leading our church in worship throughout the year and will be led by Tim Spraggins and our dedicated music assistants. We value your input in finding the best time for rehearsals, so please take a moment to fill out this survey. Rehearsal will take place during the school year. Your voice matters to us.

Small Group and Study Survey

We are excited to enhance our small group ministry and are seeking your input! Please take a few moments to fill out this survey to help us understand when you're available and what topics are of interest to you. Your participation will enable us to create meaningful and enriching small group experiences for everyone as we make disciples for the transformation of the world. Small groups provide an intentional space for spiritual growth, fellowship, accountability, and practical discipleship. Thank you for your input and support in strengthening our congregation's bonds.

Haygood Kindergarten

Haygood’s half-day Kindergarten is state accredited through the Georgia Accrediting Commission and offers children a wonderful opportunity to experience Kindergarten in an intimate setting before heading off to full day elementary school. Utilizing guided reading, small-group centers, and whole group instruction, with a focus on reading/language arts, math, science and social studies, Haygood Kindergarten prepares children to enter into a first grade curriculum. Students also receive music, science, and Spanish instruction weekly.

Our school day runs from 9am until 1pm and follows a traditional school calendar from mid-August through May. After school enrichment activities are available through the Haygood UMC Recreation Program. Vacation Bible School

June 3-7 from 9AM-Noon

Haygood Gym

Click here to register your children for this fun-filled week. VBS is open to campers who are rising pre-K (4 years old) to rising 4th graders. If you are a Haygood CDC/Hut family, our staff can pick them up and drop them off at their classrooms. Please indicate this on the registration form.

VBS Volunteers Needed!

June 2 through June 7

Help make VBS 2024 a success by volunteering for a shift or two. Nursery care is available for volunteers' children (ages 6 weeks to 3 years).

VBS would like to borrow your camping decor.

We are specifically looking for :

• Artificial Christmas Trees

• Inflatable raft

• canteens

• any other camping gear you can think of.

All items will be kept away from little hands to ensure nothing gets broken.

Mission Camp

June 4-7 from 10AM-12:30PM

Haygood Parking Lot

If your child is a rising fifth or sixth grader, have them join us for mission camp on June 4th-7th. Mission camp will go from 10 AM-12:30 PM each day. We will be helping our church family and community members at Wesley Woods, and working on the church grounds. Click here to register so your child can experience being the hands and feet of Christ.

Community Cookouts at Haygood

June 5, June 26, July 10, and July 24

(all dates are Wednesdays)

6-7PM

Haygood’s Community Cookouts this summer will feature traditional cookout fare: Hot Dogs and Hamburgers, baked beans, fresh fruit (including watermelon), chips, brownies, ice cream or popsicles for dessert. Lemonade, tea and bottled water to drink.

Online registration is open for each of the four dates. Click here June 5, June 26, July 10, July 24. Please note that reservations are requested and appreciated, but are not required.

Special Mission Opportunity: Eat so that others may eat! If you would like to support our Rise Against Hunger Event on September 22, 2024, please pay our usual Wednesday Night Supper price for your Summer Cookout order: $11/adult & $6.00/child. That will result in a donation of $5/adult & $3/child to our event (the equivalent of 12 meals per adult and 7 per child). Your donation will appear on your Haygood giving statement. Our regular cookout price of $6/adult and $3/child is also available. Simply indicate your choice when making your reservation or paying in person.

Please take a moment to explore the Church Membership Roll on Realm. Your visibility on the Membership Roll is determined by your privacy settings. The default privacy settings limit your contact information to administrators or the members of small groups you're involved with. This means you will not appear on the membership roll. To make your contact information available for your fellow church members to view on the Membership Roll, a small update to your privacy preference is needed.

Log into the site.
Click your name in the upper-right corner, and select Manage Privacy.
Select your name, or the name of a family member. Privacy settings are unique to each individual in your family.
Select the privacy option you're comfortable with, or click Custom Privacy and select options for each field.
Click Save.
