Sunday AM Worship Time Changing Soon!

Dear Friends in Christ,

On June 16 we will be changing the start of worship to 9:30 AM each Sunday. Starting at 9:30 AM is a popular request that our Session hears frequently. We hope families, individuals, and guests will find the extra time in the morning helpful. If you’d like to discuss this change or give any feedback feel free to reach out to me or reply to this email.

The Body of Christ is a unique community. Worshipping together brings vitality and growth to our spiritual lives. Hopefully, a 9:30 AM start time will allow more people to experience worship in person.

Through June 9, we will continue to worship on Sundays starting at 9 AM.

May the Lord bless each of you. I am grateful to serve alongside you at this amazing church!

Peace in Christ,

You can leave them in the church office, marked "Guatemala Team" and we will pick them up. Thank you so much for your support. Your Guatemala Team

Family Promise Upcoming Events

Family Promise is having two amazing and educational events this summer! You can learn more on their website at familypromiseofspokane.org/summerseries. Here are the details:

Understanding Poverty Workshop on Thursday, June 27, at 1 pm & 7 pm. The workshop will be held at Summit-U District for $10 per person. Explore the complexities of family homelessness at the workshop to get a deeper understanding of the issues involved with an in-depth discussion with Family Promise of Spokane's CEO Joe Ader. There is limited seating, so reserve your ticket online. Click here to Register.

LIVE On the Corner Panel on Saturday, August 3, from 10 am - noon at St. Luke Lutheran Church. Learn more about the reality of family homelessness by attending a panel discussion featuring former Family Promise guests. The discussion will be recorded and released as an episode of the podcast, "On the Corner of Homelessness & "_____". This event will begin with a volunteer fair for organizations to share their success and give opportunities to get more deeply connected in our community. Then, we will be recording a Podcast of former guests answering questions and telling about their experiences. Click here to Register.
