Longtime Township Administrator Announces Resignation

Harrison Township Administrator Kris McClintick announced his resignation after almost 24 years with the township.


In November, Harrison Township Administrator Kris McClintick accepted the position of Community and Economic Development Director for Clermont County near Cincinnati. Mr. McClintick submitted his letter of resignation to Harrison Township, according to Harrison Township Board of Trustee President Danielle Bradley.


Mr. McClintick started with the township in 2000 as the assistant director of community and economic development. Mr. McClintick was promoted to township administrator in 2014. 


“I have worked for Harrison Township almost 24 years. Kris McClintick said. “I am blessed to have worked with amazing township staff, community leaders and businesses over the years.” McClintick added. “This community will always hold a special place in my heart.”


Prior to working for Harrison Township, Mr. McClintick held positions with the cities of Xenia and Sidney. Mr. McClintick holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners.


The Management Advisory Group will support Harrison Township in the search for its next administrator.

Attend Hearing On Electric and Natural Gas Aggregation


On November 7, 2023, Harrison Township voters passed electric and natural gas aggregations which authorizes the township to form a governmental electric and natural gas aggregation programs for the purchase of electricity and natural gas on behalf of township residents and small businesses. 


The township will host two public hearings. The first one will be on Monday, December 4, at 7 p.m. and the other one on Thursday, December 7, at 4:30 p.m. Both hearings will take place at Harrison Township Government Center at 5945 North Dixie Drive.

MCTA Recognizes Three Employees


The Montgomery County Township Association (MCTA) recognizes three township employees at its annual gala.


Last month, the MCTA honored Harrison Township Development Director Emily Crow, Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Harrison Township (D-10) Sgt. John Eversole and Harrison Township Fire Captain Cody King with its Award for Excellence at its 2023 MCTA Holiday Celebration & Awards Gala at The Mandalay Banquet Center in Moraine.

Nonprofits Create 'Pathway' To Homeownership

Are you a first-time homebuyer looking to lay down roots in Harrison Township? Then, one of these three Pathway to Homeownership homes could be yours.


These homes at 3853 Ark Ave., 4080 Fleetwood Dr. and 4087 Klepinger Road are part of the Tornado Survivor Pathway to Homeownership Program. These are affordable, new construction homes and are available to low-to-moderate-income, first-time buyers with purchase priority going to those that were impacted by the tornadoes. 


The property owner, County Corp is a non-profit Development Corporation in Montgomery County. They are focused on providing affordable housing and economic programs for residents and small businesses. They do this by working with developers to build new homes, rehab existing homes and much more.

Harrison Township will host its next community blood drive on December 11.


Solvita Blood Center's Bus will be in front of the Harrison Township Government Center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for those wanting to donate blood. Solvita Blood Center is formerly known as the Community Blood Center located at 349 S. Main St. in Dayton.

Northridge Community Tree Lighting is December 2


The holiday season is here! Join New City Church-Dayton as it hosts its annual Northridge Community Tree Lighting on Saturday, December 2 from 6-8 p.m.


New City Church will ring in the holidays with their annual tree lighting at 4800 N. Dixie Drive. Enjoy hot chocolate and cookies, live christmas music, crafts for kids, free books, pictures with Santa and the Grinch and much more!


The Christmas tree lighting will take place at 7:30 p.m.

Holiday Bazaar


Join Shiloh Church for its Christmas Musical on Sunday, December 10.



Enjoy the sounds of the Christmas season complete with the Shiloh Church choral groups and the Voices in Bronze bell choir. Sing along with your favorite Christmas hymns, accompanied by the Shiloh Church pipe organ.


The Christmas Musical will have two shows, one at 10:30 a.m. and the other at 7 p.m. It will be held at Shiloh Church located at 5300 Philadelphia Drive.


The event is free and is open to the public.
