Tuesday, May 14 at 11:00 a.m. Aging and Balance Workshop with Emelie Gold and Virginia Billups. Please join us for a 60-minute Aging and Balance workshop tailored for adults aged 60 and older. Led by Emelie Gold, DPT, PT, a certified physical therapist specializing in vestibular and concussion therapy, the session will cover how gait and balance are affected by normal aging, and review tips/strategies to prevent falls. Following the talk, Virginia Billups, an exercise program leader certified by the Arthritis Foundation, will guide participants through an exercise routine. Friday, May 31 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. “Relief for Grief” Group. This is a community group for anyone who has experienced a loss, is feeling grief, or grieving. Grief is a natural emotional and physical response to loss. Every person reacts differently and it may be expressed in many ways. This group is neither traditional therapy nor counseling, per se, but it is a safe supportive space where people can come together, speak about their loss, explore their emotions and thoughts, if it is the right time and place for them to do so.
