Discounted Internet
Pell Grant recipients will now qualify for reduced internet from Comcast through the company’s Internet Essentials offering. Students who qualify for the Pell Grant could get internet for as low as $10 a month through the company.
In order to apply and prove eligibility, students will need to provide their financial aid award letter showing they have a Pell Grant award. Amid the coronavirus pandemic, Pell Grant recipients were made eligible for discounted internet service through the Emergency Broadband Benefit program to ensure low-income students are not left without internet access.

Are you losing items?
Recently the WVNCC community has been losing some items on campus.

Here are some tips from Officer RJ Faldowski to help keep track of your items.
  1. You don’t need half the stuff you carry with you. Before your next trip try and declutter your bags before coming to campus. Some of that stuff may not be needed.
  2. Bright colors are easier to spot. Having a bright key chain or phone case will make it harder to lose.
  3. Double-check before you go. You can use the song ‘Head, shoulders, knees, and toes to check for ‘keys, wallet, glasses, phone’ or anything else you may have.
  4. Don’t put things down when you are outside. Losing things outside is where they typically get permanently lost. So, don’t place things on shelves or seats close by, and don’t place your wallet on a counter when grabbing a coffee or a snack.
  5. Whether at home, in your car, or in your bookbag designate an area where your items always go

Hopefully these tips will help you not lose any of those important things.
