Nonprofit of the Year Award
YWCA Silicon Valley
Assemblymember Nora Campos will be honoring YWCA Silicon Valley as the Nonprofit of the Year at the California Nonprofits Day Celebration in Sacramento on June 22, 2016.  "YWCA deserves this special recognition, because of their superior service to survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence and human trafficking advocacy and policy efforts to work towards long-term system change," said the Assemblymember. The Award comes on the same day that we are hosting the 14th Annual Walk a Mile in her Shoes event, June 22, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Santana Row in San Jose. Over 200 men will be "stepping up" by wearing stilettos along Santana Row to bring awareness to sexual assault in our community and raise funds to help survivors of sexual assault.
