What A Friend!!! 4/17/24
Hebrews 4:1 (KJV)
1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
What part of the following Scripture-the actual Words of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ do WE fail to believe and/or understand???????
Matthew 11:28-30 (KJV)
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Recently I have been embattled in things and areas beyond my human ability/wisdom to “figure out” and/or solve.
More and more-the older and hopefully, more wise I become, am FORCED by “circumstances beyond my control” to rely on the slogan printed on my ball cap:
“I CAN'T........BUT, I KNOW A GUY......................”
WHY????? WHY do WE find ourselves exactly as guilty as the children of Israel:
Hebrews 4:2 (KJV)
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
WHY cannot WE not simply BELIEVE the Gospel??????
THANKFULLY, the New Testament offers THE solution!!!
Hebrews 4:3 (KJV)
3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
WHY cannot WE not simply heed the ancient words this OLD hymn:
Only believe, only believe;
All things are possible, only believe;
Only believe, only believe;
All things are possible, only believe.
More often than not, I AM ASHAMED to dare utter to my fellow Christian brothers and sisters:
“I CAN'T........BUT, I KNOW A GUY......................”
NO!!! It is much more admirable to our friends and loved ones to attempt to solve/figure out the solutions necessary on our own “faith and wisdom!!!”
PLEASE reread the above statement several times..................
Beloved, the REALLY IS a REST for God's people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hebrews 4:9-10 (KJV)
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Jesus really meant what He said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
TODAY-IF YOU-YES Y-O-U are in a situation and/or “valley of decision” that YOU cannot solve, simply OBEY Scripture:

TODAY, simply AGREE with God that YOU cannot “fix it!!!!!!!!!!!!”
TODAY, simply acknowledge your INABILITY and human frailty and.....
LET GOD BE GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
Oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!
I AM PRAYING FOR AND WITH YOU TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!
