Welcoming Our New Pastor

Let’s all give a warm CHPC welcome this week to our new pastor, Tami Recob! Tami’s first Sunday leading worship is February 18. The deacons will host a reception in Henry Young Hall following worship to welcome Tami. They hope to provide sandwiches, cookies/brownies, gluten-free options, a fruit tray, and a veggie tray. Help the Congregation by Paying Your “Per Capita Apportionment”

Each year, the presbytery, synod, and General Assembly ask Crescent Hill Church to pay an amount per member to support the functioning of the larger Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Known somewhat awkwardly as “per capita apportionment,” this combined annual fee is set at $25.85 per member for 2024.  

Please consider helping out the church budget by writing a separate check for $25.85 (or $51.70, or $77.55, etc., depending on the number of members in your family) to the church to cover the cost of this assessment. Make it out to “CHPC” and write “Per Capita” on the memo line. Your generosity in doing so will free up other funds in the budget for the mission and ministry of our congregation. You can also pay per capita online.

Annual Reports Due by February 25

CHPC committees and other groups will be preparing reports on their activities and accomplishments in 2023 in preparation for the annual congregational meeting on Sunday, March 10. Please note that February 25 is the deadline for committees to send reports to the church office to be included in the church’s annual report.

CHPC Medical Closet

Did you know that CHPC has medical-related items available for use by you or a friend—and then kindly returned when no longer needed? We have three wheelchairs (one located in the coat closet outside the sanctuary and two located in the back building Gathering Room). Other items are located in the north upstairs closet in the back building: three walkers, two commodes, two bath chairs, two canes, and two sets of crutches. Someone will bring items down the stairs if needed.
