West Plains High School End of Year Senior Events
  • May 11 – Summa Cum Laude Banquet Hosted by Rotary - 12:00 p.m.
  • May 12, 13 – Senior Final Exams
  • May 14 – Last day of school for seniors, senior service day, senior cookout
  • May 16 – Baccalaureate presented by the West Plains Ministerial Alliance (Optional) – 2:00 p.m. - Civic Center
  • May 16 – Class Day/Senior Awards – 3:30 p.m. - West Plains Civic Center
  • May 17 – Graduation Activities
  • Graduation Practice at the Zizzer Stadium – 10:00 a.m.
  • Graduation at the Zizzer Stadium – 7:00 p.m.
  • Project Graduation

Graduation exercises will be held at Zizzer Stadium on Monday, May 17, at 7:00. Due to the ongoing need to limit large gatherings, each senior student will be allowed ten guests to the graduation ceremony. Ten tickets will be given to each graduate after senior service day on Friday, May 14. 

In the event of inclement weather, commencement exercises will be moved to the West Plains Civic Center at the exact date and time (Monday, May 17, 7:00 p.m.). If the event is moved to the Civic Center, attendance will be limited to 6 tickets per senior.

Administrative Professionals’ Day - Wednesday
Wednesday, April 21, is Administrative Professionals’ Day. On this day, this district will recognize and celebrate the work of our secretaries, administrative assistants, and office professionals for their contributions to our schools. Thank you!!
West Plains Elementary March Students of the Month
Good character is always something to celebrate. Every month the West Plains Elementary recognizes students of the month. Congratulations to the March Students of the Month! Special thanks to Community First Banking Company for sponsoring the program.

#ChooseToBeAZizzer - Meet Emily Cecil
Meet Emily Cecil, a Sophomore at West Plains High School.


This summer, the West Plains School District will offer all students a fun, exciting, and academic approach to learning called "Summer Journey”. The summer school program is open for all students in grades kindergarten through 8th grade and runs June 1 through June 25, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. The program will be held at the West Plains Elementary School for grades K-5 and the West Plains Middle School for grades 6-8. 
The program is free to all students in the area and breakfast and lunch are provided at no cost. Student attendance incentives will be offered this year based on full attendance days in the program. Students may only enroll and attend in one summer program each year. Sign up for the 2021 spring and summer camps now. Coaches and sponsors are offering several camps this year. Be sure to mark the dates on your calendar.
