West D Street Bicycle Improvements

May 2024

The West ‘D’ Street Bicycle Improvement project is nearing completion and West 'D' Street is now open to traffic. Construction of speed humps, a raised crosswalk, ramps, and bike transitions have been completed. Painting stripes and installing signs are all that remain to finish the project.

The project added 6 speed humps, a raised crosswalk, a new bicycle transition between the Northbank path and West ‘D’ Street, and a realignment of the existing path transition.

Sign work is scheduled to begin later this week and be completed on May 24. Striping is scheduled to start the week of June 3.

These improvements will provide a safer, more comfortable, and accessible transportation route for all users. Construction started in March and the entire project is scheduled to be completed no later than July 31, 2024. Read more about the project by clicking the button below.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to improve West ‘D’ Street.
