REALTORS® RELIEF FOUNDATION FUNDING

Were you or someone you know affected by the recent tornado outbreak in Nebraska on April 26th? If so, we have funding available to help those in need! Please share!

Nebraska REALTORS® Association (NRA) through our 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, the Home Buyers Assistance Foundation (HBAF), requested and received $600,000.00 of assistance from the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) REALTOR® Relief Foundation (RRF) to provide up to $2,000.00 of assistance to victims of the April 26 storms. NRA needs your help to locate those who have been devastated by the April 26th storms. If you or someone you know has had their home damaged or destroyed, please share this application with them.

Assistance is available to qualified applicants towards one of the following options: (1) Monthly mortgage expense for the primary residence that was damaged by the Tornado Outbreak of April 26, 2024, or (2) Rental cost due to displacement from the primary residence resulting from the Tornado Outbreak of April 26, 2024, or (3) Hotel reimbursement due to displacement from the primary residence resulting from the Tornado Outbreak of April 26, 2024. Relief assistance is limited to a maximum of $2,000.00 per household.

Applications must be received by before July 12th, 2024, to qualify. Please note this assistance is for housing relief only; other expenses including second mortgages (home equity lines or loans), clothing, appliances, equipment, vehicle purchase, rental or repair and or mileage are ineligible for reimbursement under this program.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time Nebraskan’s have faced disasters and most definitely it will not be the last, Nebraska REALTORS® Association has raised monies to assist those affected by the Pilger tornado in 2014. Again in 2019, Nebraska REALTORS® in partnership with NAR RRF provided assistance to those impacted by the major spring floods. Nebraska REALTORS® Association could not have assisted in these prior disasters without the assistance of NAR's REALTOR® Relief Foundation. These funds are needed to assist victims of disasters in all 50 states and donations are greatly appreciated.
