New Board Members Help Shape Wakeland's Future

Wakeland recently expanded our Board of Directors with six new members who have wide-ranging expertise in affordable housing development, finance, education, and community engagement.

 

“We are so excited to have these six incredibly talented individuals join our board. Working alongside our veteran board members, they will help shape Wakeland’s future and guide us in accomplishing our mission of transforming lives and communities with affordable housing and impactful resident services,” said Wakeland’s President and CEO, Rebecca Louie.

 

The new board members come from a diverse field of professions and geographic regions, lending Wakeland an expanded knowledge of the communities we work in.

Maiesha Anthony is Regional Vice President at RPM Living, a multifamily housing management company. She’s a seasoned leader in the real estate industry who has a passion for mentorship and creating housing opportunities and a dedication to making a positive impact in communities. Previously, Maiesha managed several of Wakeland’s communities while working at ConAm, bringing a strong property management and tenant focused perspective. 

​Dike Anyiwo is a first-generation American born and raised in Southern California. He is the Senior Director of Community Impact for San Diego FC and a recognized leader in community development who served on the Midway-Pacific Highway Community Planning Group from 2018 to 2023. Dike is also an active member of the YIMBY Democrats of San Diego County and is the club’s official photographer.

Lisa Pacheco is an Executive Consultant with over two decades of leadership experience, including an award-winning global executive role at Microsoft/Department of Defense and a founding role as Director of Partnerships/Development at Flick Power. She looks forward to serving on the board to help increase access to affordable and more innovative housing opportunities, while enhancing resource equality throughout Southern California.

Benoni Pantoja is Director of Education for the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation and a dedicated educator with a deep commitment to disrupting the cycle of poverty through education. He oversees a broad spectrum of programs aimed at nurturing and educating individuals from infancy to young adulthood in his current role, and has a lifelong commitment to empowering individuals and communities through learning and development.

Le T. Quach is a Senior Lending Officer at Banc of California, specializing in Affordable Housing Community Lending. She has held senior roles at Century Housing Corporation, Los Angeles County Development Authority (LACDA), and CTY Housing, Inc. Le currently serves as National Committee Chair for Women’s Affordable Housing Network (WAHN) Los Angeles.

Tim Wray is an affordable housing professional with 30 years of experience in various phases of affordable housing development nationwide. He has served in several roles of increasing responsibility for both non-profit and for-profit developers such as Fairfield Residential Company LLC and Morgan Properties. Tim also was Wakeland’s Vice-President and Director of Acquisitions for several years and we are delighted to welcome him back!
