Even though the Christmas ads are all over the TV, we shouldn’t rush headlong into the festive season. Autumn should be a time for reflection, not a forgettable interlude before the Christmas break and the promise of a new year.
Autumn is often the season of budgets, proposal and tenders. It’s when businesses all over the country finalise their plans for the coming year and consider their longer-term aims, and as such it’s a fundamental part of the business cycle.
The groundwork that is done at this time of year sets us up for success in the new year and looking back can be invaluable too.
