I would like to take a moment to answer the burning question, " who is this Ed Dugan guy". Many of you I have met in person, some I have only spoken to over the phone, some have attended an online or in person seminar I have participated in. Most of you are probably unaware of my background so I thought the dark days of winter is a perfect time to provide some history.
I graduated from Rutgers University (Cook College) in 1977 with a Degree in Horticulture, and a short time after I started a landscape business. After 20 years I retired and went to work for the previous Bowie dealer in the Northeast. I also spent some years doing national and regional sales for erosion control companies. In 2007 I took over as the Northeast Bowie dealer. For many years we successfully sold equipment as well as Fiber Mulch and Erosion Control Products. About 5 years ago I decided to streamline the business and concentrate only on Bowie sales and a few products like our Pro Tack Plus Tackifier. A move made to reduce my workload, provide the best customer service and leave more time for golf!
And to answer the the question I get asked frequently,
No. I am not retiring any time soon. As the quote says
"Love your job and you will never work a day in your life"
