Jo Myers-Walker Event - First in our Second Sunday series

Join us Sunday, September 10th, when Iowa City artist Jo Myers- Walker  Will be doing Plein Air Painting  from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on the Black Hawk Mini Park in the "Prairie Box" art installation right outside our gallery on the pedestrian mall.  This is a fun, new, and interesting addition .  If you would like to participate in this event, be sure to bring your tablet and art supplies.  Or you are welcome to just watch & listen as Jo describes her process.  She believes that by telling their story through art, people often create beautiful things that they never thought they could.  Most recently, Jo has been capturing the ongoing growth of downtown Iowa City, as well as other beautiful scenes around Iowa.  Current works are available to view and for sale at the Iowa Artisans Gallery.  For more information about Jo,  Click here

New artist to IAG! Annick Ibsen is a sculptor and painter originally from Paris, France, who now lives in Des Moines, Iowa. Her sculptures are hand built from slabs and assembled in a pattern to decompose space, depth, and colors to create a composition that often conveys cubist geometry. The tomato plant is an example of Sgriffito technique.
