A Letter from the Director

As ministry continues to grow in NC WI we are prayerfully looking forward to see what the Lord is doing. I was reading in Isaiah 43:19 which says, “Look, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.” How do we not get excited about this vision from the Lord. He is preparing everything before we even know what is happening.

I am writing today to introduce the newest member of our team, Jayden Sprague. What excites me the most about this vision from the Lord and Jayden coming on is that it paves a way for diversity across the state. Jayden is our first female Area Rep that fills a longtime gap in Wisconsin. We now have an opportunity begin a journey of ministry to female coaches, athletes and coaches wives. This is of course in addition to all coaches and huddles ministry that is already happening. When we are able to add a new staff member in an area where there has yet to be a staff we often see what is spoken in Isaiah 43:19 come to life. We see ministry unfold in ways only the Lord can do.

The schools Jayden will be serving are Westfield (Marquette County), Montello (Marquette County), Markesan (Green Lake County), Princeton (Green Lake County), Tri County (Waushara County), Wautoma (Waushara County).

We ask that as Jayden steps into and learns the full role of FCA Area Rep that you lift her up in prayer as she continues to press into all that the Lord has done to pave a way for ministry. We are so excited to see what and how the Lord is going to use Jayden to advance the Kingdom.

I have to thank the many donors who joined Jayden’s support team and major shout out to those who are contributing to our Development fund as these donations helped us move Jayden onto staff!

Blessings,

Russ Bahr

About Jayden

My name is Jayden Sprague, I am twenty-five and I currently live in Westfield with my husband Jesse and our two French bulldogs Gus and Marvin. Jesse and I are very excited to also be welcoming a baby boy in early May. Growing up I had been in church and gave my life to Christ when I was 15, it wasn’t until I had moved down to Georgia for my freshman year of college where I found a real relationship with Him. I was baptized before moving home to finish my degree at UW La Crosse. Post college I worked a normal job and never felt like I was fulfilling Gods purpose for my life. Jesse and I lost a baby before this sweet baby boy, and I quickly realized how fast life could change and it was all in the hands of God. I started praying that He would give me clarity for what He wanted and that’s when I realized Fellowship of Christian Athletes was where He was calling me.

I am excited to be the only woman area representative in Wisconsin because I think it will open many opportunities for women in ministry. I would love to pave the way for other woman who feel called into ministry the opportunity to walk with God if that’s what they are being called to do, completely fearless. I also am eager to see how God uses me to tap into ministry for the female athletes, coaches, coaches wives and female community members.
