We hope everyone has enjoyed a wonderful summer, and is getting excited about a new school year. We wanted to reach out with some important info from the PTO and encourage everyone to get involved this year with some of our amazing events and opportunities.

Welcome Back BBQ

The PTO Welcome Back BBQ will be held on Sunday, September 15th, at 5pm at the school. Join us for some BBQ and family fun, as we reunite with old friends and welcome new additions to our Farber family! We are in need of some volunteers to help with setup, cleanup and grilling. School Calendars

We are so grateful to our calendar co-sponsors this year- Dr. Daniel Gross of Your Smile Orthodontics and the Detroit Economic Gemach- for helping us create and distribute calendars to each of our Farber families. Calendars will be sent home this week with your children. If you would like to purchase additional calendars for family members or friends at $10 per calendar, please contact us at farberpto@gmail.com.

Rosh Hashanah Honey Fundraiser

Our first fundraiser of the school year is up and running! We are selling delicious honey for Rosh Hashanah, which is being locally sourced from Joel K. Letvin and the Oakland County Apiaries. Perfect for yourself or as a gift. Each 8oz jar of honey is $25 and all proceeds go to support PTO programming. This is a great opportunity to support the PTO! You can order HERE.

Hot Lunch

Hot Lunch will be offered Monday-Wednesday, beginning Wednesday, September 4th for students in grades K-12. We will be partnering with Yeshiva Beth Yehuda and Jerusalem Pizza this year to help bring yummy, nutritional meals to our students. The price for hot lunch is $7.50 per meal. Click HERE to sign up for September Hot Lunch. If you work at Farber, please contact us for a discount code for staff hot lunch. Hot Lunch orders will close one week in advance, except for pizza orders which will close out the night before at 6pm. We will not be purchasing extra meals to be bought the day of.

If your child forgets his or her lunch, please call school in the morning and alternative arrangements can be made. 

Our Hot Lunch program would not be possible without our amazing and dedicated volunteers. We are looking for volunteers to help out Monday-Wednesday. You can volunteer once a week, once a year, or anything in between! Please click HERE to sign up for a time slot. This is an amazing opportunity for parents, especially those new to the Farber community, to put faces to the names their children are spending their day with! This is also a great opportunity for local grandparents to get involved with the school. 

Farber Spirit Wear

We are partnering again this year with Perfect Trading Company, a locally owned small business, to bring you stylish and fun Farber Spirit Wear. We have new offerings up on the site so please check it out HERE.

Box Tops/Kroger/Mabels Labels

These 3 school fundraiser partnerships bring in dollars to the PTO! 

Box Tops has gone digital. The new and improved Box Tops mobile app now scans your store receipts to find participating products and instantly add Box Tops to your school’s earnings online. Additionally, Box Tops is now partnering with Walmart. If you shop at Walmart, simply click this link HERE and connect your Walmart account to your Box Tops account and then there is no need to scan receipts!

If you shop at Mabels Labels, click HERE and add Farber Hebrew Day School. A percentage of your spending will go directly to support the FHDS PTO.

For instructions on linking your digital Kroger card to FHDS, click HERE: Kroger donates annually to participating organizations based on your percentage of spending as it relates to the total spending associated with all participating Kroger Community Rewards organizations.
