  • Open research:  > 260 research quality blog posts, 1 firm wide research outlook for 2011.
  • Page views: ~  5000 page views a day
  • Contracts: 35 signed contracts including transfers from previous relationships.

March 2 - Constellation Research: Which CIO Will You Become? Innovative, Infrastructure, Intelligent, Integrated

As organizations evolve their business models in the coming decade, a new breed of business and technology leaders emerges to meet the challenge. These leaders will navigate a myriad of converging and disruptive technologies, align new initiatives for both business value and technology feasibility, and identify strategies to leverage existing investments to fund innovation.

Consequently, the traditional CIO is under attack as four new CIO roles emerge: Chief Innovation Officer, Chief Intelligence Officer, Chief Integration Officer, and Chief Infrastructure Officer. Constellation Research expects most traditional CIO's will easily transition into the Chief Infrastructure Officer and Chief Integration Officer role while a few with a business bent will grow into the Chief Innovation Officer role. On the flip side, many business leaders with a technology bent will evolve into a Chief Innovation Officer and Chief Intelligence Officer roles.
