Maureen Smith

Please join us in welcoming the newest Office of Sponsored Programs Pre-Award Research Administrator, Maureen AJ Smith, MSc, MA. Maureen will be working with the College of Liberal Arts, College of Fine Arts, Division of Diversity Initiatives, Division of Student Affairs, Greenspun College of Urban Affairs, Lee Business School, Libraries, Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost, Office of the Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, William F. Harrah College of Hospitality, and William S. Boyd School of Law. 


Maureen comes to research administration from an academic and non-profit organization background. Prior to joining UNLV, she managed collections and exhibitions at two Memphis-area museums and served as a Pre-Award Coordinator at the University of Memphis, where she provided department-level support to the Department of Psychology and the Institute for Intelligent Systems.


Maureen holds a Masters of Science in Medieval History from the University of Edinburgh and a Masters of Art in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester. She is a certified State Archivist in the state of Tennessee. Her academic specialties include the history of religion and witchcraft and the interpretation of objects associated with human remains in museums.

Training Cayuse SP

Please log into the training environment to make sure your user access is available for training:  https://unlv-t.uat.cayuse.com/


You will use our ACE ID to log in or need to reset your password for the testing environment.


Accessing Your Cayuse User Profile

Access your user profile by clicking on your name at the top right-hand corner of the Cayuse platform and selecting “My Profile” This is where you will access your profile and attach your biosketch within Cayuse. An email will be sent to you with a resetting of the password, check your email to reset it.  


*Please note data in the training tenant is not accurate with your awards and you may have different affiliations other than your College, this is training data only and will not be in the Live Production site.

CAYUSE SP - Production

Cayuse SP is live.  On July 1, 2024, Cayuse SP replaces grantsERA as the University-wide grants management pre-award and non-financial post-award system. Use http://unlv.cayuse.com for all submissions.


Cayuse SP will integrate with the research enterprise Cayuse IRB platform as well as Workday HRM and allow for a more streamlined and efficient connection between systems.


 Logging into Cayuse SP:


  1. Navigate to the UNLV Cayuse SP System: http://unlv.cayuse.com
  2. Enter your UNLV issued ACE ID (Shibboleth) username and password.
  3. Click “Sign in”
