How to Properly Execute a Squat & *Goblet/Plie Squat
1. Stand in neutral position with feet hip-width apart
2. Brace your core
3. Chest up
4. Hips go back first, then lower bottom; knees will follow suit
a. Do not let knees pass the front of the toes
b. Knees should track in line with the middle toes
5. Lower yourself, with the goal being to get your thighs parallel to floor
6. Push through heels and mid-foot to come up
7. Squeeze glutes at the top
*For a Goblet/Plie squat, stand with wide stance and toes turned out. Bracing core and chest up, keep pelvis tucked as you lower your body, allowing the knees to bend towards the middle toes. Squeeze glutes as you raise to starting position.
