Dear George,
Our Bishop, the Right Reverend Alba Sally Sue Hernández Garcia will make her formal Episcopal Visitation to St. Paul's on November 12, presiding at Confirmation or Reception for those entering the Anglican Communion. There will be one bilingual liturgy at 10:15 that day.
Those who have prepared for Confirmation or Reception need to fill out an information form (available in Spanish or English from the parish office StPaulManagementSMA@gmail.com and return the form to the office. Candidates are encouraged to attend a short rehearsal on Saturday November 11 at 12:30pm.
Our new Sunday School Director is Rosie Stokes. Rosie is collaborating to find the best bilingual Sunday School curriculum available. Our children's sermon for December will be on December 3 rather than December 10 so the Rector may distribute Advent calendars to the children. There will be no children's sermon the second Sunday of November as that coincides with Confirmation and Reception and the Bishop's visit.
Our "Reverse Advent Project" commences in November so that we may distribute food-stuffs in the campo and to those in need in December. A bottle of cooking oil would be a welcome additional item that may be added to the items listed below. Thank you, and may you have a holy Advent Season, soon to be upon us (December 3)!
Many thanks to Hector Godoy for our new bulletin board in the parish hall, and to Elaine Sells who led a Communications Group brainstorm on Saturday November 4! Both shall consequently help us "get the word out!"
Vestry member Andrea Spessard is leading our Stewardship Campaign 2024. She could use some help. Any who wish to join the Stewardship Team may contact Andrea at alspessard@gmail.com
