Family Promise Host Week in April Canceled

With the Corona Virus outbreak, St. James will not be hosting Family Promise in April. We do not make this decision lightly, but the health and well being of our parishioners is top priority. Our plan is to resume hosting in June, as long as it is safe to do so.

In the meantime, Family Promise is in need of the items below:

13 gallon trash bags
Hand soap-even refill bottles
Hand sanitizer
Face masks-even the ones from the pharmacy

If you can donate any of these items, please contact Val Brunson. In addition, any items already donated for our Family Promise host week that was canceled will be taken to their Hospitality Center for use. As we learn of additional needs, we will be sure to let you know. Thank you all so much for your continued support and stay safe.

While we're not attending church services at this time, you can still read your bible at home and take this time to meditate and pray.

In these uncertain times let us all commit to offer daily prayer for our families, our church community, and the world. We WILL get through this! If you are willing to assist our St. James’ community by shopping, etc. for those unable to do so please let us know. If you are in need of ANYTHING please let us know.

Gracious God, in whom we live and move and have our being, stand by us and sustain us through these trying times. Bless us with the wisdom to take those measures to keep us safe and the courage to assist those in need. Be with those who are fearful or sick and grant them peace and healing. Above all, keep us mindful of your abundant blessings and that there is nothing in all the world that can separate us from Your love.

Let us continue to hold each other in prayer both at the 8 and 10:15 am hour each Sunday such that we can unite in spirit until we can once again unite in our church for worship.
