Trump Leading Harris, Property Insurance & Illegal Immigration Top Concerns, According to Results from Florida Chamber Statewide Poll

The poll, conducted over 12 days in August sampling 600 likely voters statewide, showed Florida voters believe Florida is headed in the right direction by a 47%-45% margin, showing significantly more optimism about Florida’s trajectory than that of the nation. By a 2-to-1 margin of 60%-30% Floridians believe the United States is currently on the wrong track.


Florida likely voters believe the top issues facing Florida are property insurance (16%), illegal immigration (12%), job creation and the economy (12%), and abortion issues (9%).

Save the Date for Destin City Council Candidates Forum

Join us and the Emerald Coast Association of Realtors (ECAR) as we host an Oct. 1 forum to learn more about the candidates for Destin City Council. The event will take place at the Destin City Hall Annex from 6 - 8 p.m. The forum format will be announced soon.


Candidates include Rodney Braden, Dewey Destin, Teresa Hebert, Lance Johnson, Kevin Schmidt, John Stephens, and Sandy Trammell, and five seats are available.

Jennifer Adams, Okaloosa County Tourist Development Department Director, and Ken Wampler, Okaloosa County Tourist Development Council Chairman and President of Newman-Dailey Resort Properties, will discuss the Triumph Gulf Coast Tourism Grant. This is a three-year grant of $10.5 million to create an innovative regional marketing campaign focused on promoting the region’s outdoor and adventure experiences to drive tourism growth and economic development across Northwest Florida.
