Member Spotlight

Christian Help is having their 2nd Annual Breakfast to Bless event. This event is for members of the community to come together to learn about the growing challenges in our region for 50% of our Orange and Seminole county neighbors. Christian Help will share and provide an update as to how we respond to these challenges, what else can be done, and how it gets paid for.

Christian Help aims to prevent homelessness by offering a range of resources that help people find work, financial assistance, and spiritual encouragement.

In Central Florida, almost 50% of people are struggling to meet their basic needs, and one in five children faces food insecurity. Christian Help believes that everyone deserves the safety, security, and sense of significance that comes from knowing they are not alone. That's why they offer one-on-one career coaching, six job fairs annually, online job boards, and customized classes to help people increase their income. They also provide prayer, client-focused programs, and a relational approach to assistance.

Additionally, they offer a food pantry, household goods and furnishings, an online resource guide, and a Christmas shopping program to help those in need.

The annual "Best of Sanford" awards ceremony, presented by My Sanford Magazine will take place on Tuesday, September 10 and the Red Carpet begins at 5:00 PM. This event serves to honor outstanding businesses and individuals within the city of Sanford. This distinguished event includes categories such as "Best Restaurant" and "Best Kept Secret," showcasing locally esteemed establishments and notable individuals. Noteworthy elements of the evening include live performances by local musicians, dancers, and other talented individuals. Attendees are invited to partake in the post-ceremony gathering at a local establishment, offering an opportunity to engage with prominent local figures. Proceeds generated from this event contribute to the support of two local nonprofit organizations: Love Missions and One Hope International.

“Sanford Celebrating Sanford's Best!" You are cordially invited to an extraordinary evening of recognition and community celebration. Embrace the elegant Black & White dress code as we come together to pay homage to the finest businesses, industries, volunteers, and organizations in various categories, including Best of Sanford, Best of Downtown Sanford, Best of Seminole County, and Sanford Orlando North Industry Recognition. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, September 10, 2024, as we prepare for an unforgettable event. This year, 100% of the net proceeds from the Best of Sanford Gala will be generously donated to Love Mission, a Sanford-based organization with a profound dedication to combating human trafficking. Your participation will not only be an opportunity to honor excellence but also a chance to contribute to a noble cause.
