Commercial real estate industry sponsored bill AB 2433 passed through the Assembly Appropriations Committee with bi-partisan support yesterday. The bill, authored by Assemblymember Quirk-Silva (D-Fullerton, pictured here) addresses the lengthy delays in the building permit process by introducing flexibility in fee structures, inspection timelines, and the conditional utilization of private professional services. CBPA's Senior Director of Government Relations Skyler Wonnacott (also pictured here) provided testimony in support of the bill. AB 2433 now heads to the Assembly floor for a vote. If it passes, it will next head to the Senate for consideration. |
