Trinity's Luther Glen Camper!

Naomi spent a great week at church camp and her mother shared this picture!

From Katie: "If you're wondering what's on her head, those are sunglasses from her "dragon training" session at camp. She ended up drawing and cutting out a bunch of dragons and handing them out to everyone to attach to their sunglasses."

Our outdoor ministries in the Southwest California Synod are an amazing way for children and young people to learn and grow in faith. A safe, welcoming, and intentional community provides a space for learning, exploration and bonding in the context of a Lutheran camp. To learn more check out: https://lrcchome.com/

Pr. Dan Gibson Installed as Pastor at Good Shepherd in San Pedro

Pr. Barclay joined with other conference and synodical clergy to celebrate with Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in San Pedro the installation of their new pastor. Pr. Gibson recently served as Interim Pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church of Hawthorne and has a long history of ministry in throughout the synod. We offer prayers of support and care for our sibling congregation as they embark on this new journey!

Summer Outdoor Worship Sunday

August 25, September 29- Outdoor Worship

Trinity continues our summer tradition of meeting in the Ficus Grove for a simple summer worship service with Holy Communion. More dates will be announced as the summer progresses. Companion Animals (well-behaved) are always welcome at our outdoor worship. There are plenty of seats and picnic tables, but feel free to bring a blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy. Some tasty frozen confections will be served!

75th Anniversary Photo Project

Calling all Trinitarians and friends! We are compiling historic photos and including them in a video montage to celebrate Trinity's 75th Anniversary this October. If you have photos showing Trinity history, please scan and send them to Julie's email.  We need as many submissions as possible on or before August 11th to ensure they will be included. If you need help scanning, please let Julie know or you may contact the church office.

Community Events and Opportunities

The Great Cycle Challenge

During the month of September, thousands of bicycle riders will take part in The Great Cycle Challenge to raise money for children’s cancer research. Pastor John Soyster, who served as Trinity's interim pastor before Pr. Douglas was called in April of 2020, will be riding for the second year. His motivation and inspiration for riding is his grandson, Jackson Soyster. He is asking his friends to consider doing one or more of four things:

  • Pray for Jack, who is battling a brain tumor.
  • Send Jack a card of encouragement.
  • Sponsor Pastor John in the Great Cycle Challenge.
  • Join Team Jack.

For details and information on how to sponsor or join Team Jack, click on the button below, thank you!
